Biological Analysis
|
|
Service Description: The
ABS Biological Analysis Service provides
a method of monitoring the biological health of
biomass in a wastewater treatment system.
|
|
Features: Unlike
other services, ABS uses both
microscopic analysis for identifying floc structure
problems which may interfere with settleability (such
as filamentous growth) and microbial analysis using
bacterial plate counts to determine the viability of
the biomass.
|
|
The
ABS Biological Analysis Service includes
optional services for: |
-
Filamentous identification
-
Floc structure description and
filamentous ratings
-
India ink stain - indicates
potential nutrient deficiency
-
Photomicrographs for historic
records
-
Bacterial plate counts for
confirmation of viability
|
|
Benefits: The
Biological Analysis Service can provide a tool for
diagnosing the root cause of poor biomass
settleability or NPDES treatment problems.
|
|
The ABS
Biological Analysis Service has many benefits: |
|
1) Identifies root causes of poor
biomass settleability.
|
|
2) Determines health of "The
Workforce" - the bacteria.
|
|
3) Provides photomicrographs for
historic trending.
|
|
4) Process optimization using
routine, on-going services.
